Associated Units

1st Aviation Brigade • Republic of South Vietnam

214th Combat Aviation Battalion

"The Cougars" — comprised of the 17th AHC, 117th AHC, 191st AHC, 195th AHC, 200th ASHC, and 240th AHC. These units flew thousands of combat missions across South Vietnam from 1967 onward.

222nd Aviation Battalion

In March of 1969, the 240th AHC was transferred to the 222nd Aviation Battalion. Multiple unit patches and call signs were designated to each company within the battalion structure.

240th Assault Helicopter Company

Departed the United States for the Republic of South Vietnam in May of 1967. Initially part of the 214th CAB, later transferred to the 222nd Aviation Battalion in March 1969.

200th ASHC "Buffalo Battalion"

On March 1st, 1967, the 200th ASHC was assigned to the Buffalo Battalion and later joined together with the other helicopter companies to form the 214th CAB.
